The Institute for Children's Advocacy conducts an innovative and informative four-hour Seminar designed to satisfy requirements mandated by Pierce County Superior Court for Family Law actions filed after September 1, 2000, or any Parenting Plan modifications that impact minor children.
The purpose of this Seminar is to help parents/caregivers better understand the impact of family restructuring on children due to separation, dissolution, paternity actions or non-parental custody cases.
The range of subjects addressed during the seminar include:
- Stress indicators in children
- The grief and loss process
- Conflict Management
- Age appropriate expectations of children
- Long-term impact of parental conflict on children
- Effective communications
- Stress reduction
- Step-parenting/blended families
Seminar instructors each hold Master's degrees or above and have extensive experience with children and families. Almost without exception, attendees give our seminar the highest rating possible and extend heartfelt thanks for the information received.
